MIAMI – December 14, 2017 – Endeavor selected 36 entrepreneurs leading 22 companies from 13 countries at the 76th International Selection Panel (ISP) in Miami, reaching a significant milestone at the end of the organization’s 20th Anniversary year: selecting its 1,000th company.
Endeavor now supports 1,599 entrepreneurs leading 1,000 companies in 30 growth markets around the world. Panelists at the event, held December 11-13, 2017, in Miami and hosted by Endeavor Miami, included top business leaders and investors who were drawn from Endeavor’s extensive network of board members, mentors, and supporters.
The ISP is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process to identify innovative and driven entrepreneurs who are committed to advancing an ecosystem of entrepreneurship.
“Endeavor was founded 20 years ago with a belief in the power of high-impact entrepreneurs to change lives and transform entire cities and countries,” said Endeavor Co-founder and CEO Linda Rottenberg. “At each selection panel we hold, I’m reminded of just how true that is — and just how far that belief has spread across the world. The passion that entrepreneurs, panelists and staff brought to our final ISP of our 20th Anniversary year in Miami is a testament to the potential of this movement.”
At the Miami ISP panelists from around the world interviewed entrepreneur candidates about their businesses, evaluating them on their potential for high-impact growth, and then deliberated on which candidates should be selected to become Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Once selected, Endeavor Entrepreneurs gain access to comprehensive customized services, including introductions to local and international business mentors and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs.
Endeavor Entrepreneurs have had a significant track record of creating hundreds of thousands of jobs, generating billions of dollars in revenues, and building sustainable growth models in their home countries.
Endeavor thanks Visa and Citi Private Bank for their generous support of the event. Endeavor will host next year’s ISPs in Dubai (February 20-22), Manila (April 4-6), Louisville (May 7-9), Milan (June 27-29), Detroit (July 30-August 1), Buenos Aires (September 5-7), Athens (October 24-26) and Cape Town (December 5-7).
