Aly Sheezar Jeddy is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, based in New York. He is the managing Partner for the Firm’s Private Equity & Principal Investing Practice for the Americas. He is also a leader of McKinsey’s financial institutions practice. Mr. Jeddy has worked in McKinsey’s San Francisco, London and Paris offices and at the McKinsey Global Institute.

Mr. Jeddy serves asset management, insurance, private equity and hedge fund clients across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, spanning topics as diverse as Firm strategy, organizational design, change management, skill-building, growth and innovation. He also leads due diligence engagements on specific transactions as well as post-acquisition portfolio company value maximization efforts. In addition, he serves investors on their alternative assets strategy. In private equity and principal investing, he leads McKinsey’s thinking on the outlook
for the asset class and its implications for global capital markets and the Firm’s clients.

Mr. Jeddy serves on the Board of Overseers of the International Rescue Committee. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to Endeavor, an innovative organization supporting some of the most promising new entrepreneurs in emerging markets across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Jeddy is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Aziz Jehan Begum Trust for the Blind, the pre-eminent institution in Pakistan dedicated to providing educational, vocational, and career development support to the blind.

Previously, Mr. Jeddy served at the War Crimes Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in the Office of the Prosecutor, assembling evidence in support of ongoing trials. Earlier, at the World Bank, he helped design welfare programs in Egypt. Mr. Jeddy has also worked with the leading human rights lawyer in Pakistan to advise the Prime Minister of Pakistan on advancing gender equality there.

Mr. Jeddy graduated as Valedictorian with an A.B. in Economics and Engineering Science from Dartmouth College, where he currently serves on the Alumni Council. He was also inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society as a Sophomore. He earned his J.D. from the Yale Law School in 1999 with Honors.

Originally from Pakistan, Mr. Jeddy lives in Manhattan with his wife and three daughters.
