Kumaran’s Spartan Technology Rentals has gained impressive market share in the technology rental industry and become the only company throughout Africa to be the official reseller of Microsoft software. In exchange, Microsoft promotes Spartan to more than 3,000 Microsoft Office resellers in South Africa. By making technology more accessible in the workforce, Kumaran contributes to the training of thousands of employees in the private and public sector.

Spartan Technology Rentals was acquired in 2003 and has since become a leading specialist rental financier of all forms of technology hardware and software in South Africa.

Kumaran is also active with the nonprofit National Business Initiative (NBI), focused on sustainable growth and development in South Africa.

Endeavor South Africa is actively helping Kumaran raise capital, including through strategic introductions. Kumaran has also benefited from eMBA support.

Kumaran has demonstrated commitment by participating in ISP/Excelerator panels, in second opinion reviews, and in advisory meetings.
