Hiba and and her business partner Tarek moved to Egypt from war-stricken Beirut to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into a reality. The result is El Matbakh, the first full-service lunch solutions company catering to the rapidly growing corporate market in Cairo. Led by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo with complementary skill sets in restaurant and management expertise, El Matbakh’s value proposition is based on the challenging city layout, traffic, and population growth in Cairo. To mitigate these aspects of daily life in Egypt’s capital city, El Matbakh provides large companies with the food, equipment, and staff to run a full on-site lunch operation. Since selection, El Matbakh has experienced tremendous expansion. In addition to quadrupling its head office and kitchen space, El Matbakh’s client base has increased by 50%. Jammal and Khaddaj are currently working on their advisory board and business development. As the business community in Cairo booms, El Matbakh is poised to grow its client base and reach thousands of professionals on a daily basis.
