Mexican cinema is undergoing a new Golden Age with a wave of internationally-acclaimed movies, such as Y tu mamá también and Amores perros, backed by a new group of Mexican filmmaking talent. Behind the scenes are entrepreneurs Alejandro and Carlos and their company, Ollin Studio, the most cutting-edge post-production and visual special effects studio in Mexico. Armed with Alejandro’s experience launching several successful technology startups and Carlos’ creative vision, this gifted duo are pioneers in this industry previously unknown in their country.

Already the #1 leader in post-production and visual effects in Mexico, and a recognized leader throughout Latin America, Ollin is ready to take its services even further and possibly all the way to Hollywood. It has developed proprietary technology that allows US-based production houses to work in real time with its animators in Mexico. In 2009, Ollin Studios won an Oscar for “Best Visual Effects” for its work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

In addition to Ollin, Alejandro is also the owner of Quantum Leap Capital Management, Solexico (language and cultural center for foreigners in Mexico), and Oelli (dedicated to videogame events).

The Entrepreneurs have acknowledged Endeavor’s support in helping them to “think big.” Specifically, they have benefited from Endeavor’s G-Lab program and Entrepreneur Summit, along with Deloitte consulting in the area of corporate governance. They also received HR support, and benefited from various strategy events and seminars.
