Acesso Digital is trying to revolutionize the way Brazilian companies manage human capital and the way in which they handle their paperwork, by providing clients with the tools needed to easily digitize and manage their documents. Since its founding in 2007 by Diego Martins and Paulo Alencastro, the company has doubled or tripled revenues every year, and grown its client list.
Diego and Paulo have been ambitious self-starters since their university days. Diego graduated from Anhembi Morumbi University and contracted Paulo, whom he had met while working on a consulting project. Paulo received a bachelor’s degree from Pontificia Universidade Católica, and an MBA from Anhembi Morumbi University.
Diego began researching the document management operations of companies and realized that companies only began storing their documents once the papers had reached the back office. Diego then focused on creating an offering that relied on digitizing at the start, when a company first has access to a document. He invited Paulo to leave the corporate world and the two officially launched Acesso Digital in 2007.
Although Diego and Paulo were not the first to bring the digitization of documents to the Brazilian market, they were the first to offer such a comprehensive solution: for a monthly fee, clients are provided with software, a data center, and 24-hr access to digitized data.
The company’s customizable solution has allowed it to create a diversified customer base that will continue to span industries as the company moves into new fields including healthcare and education.
