On July 27, the Walt Disney Company announced it had agreed to acquire Playdom Inc., one of the fastest social gaming companies in Silicon Valley, for up to $763.2 million. On March 31, Playdom itself had acquired Three Melons, an Endeavor firm selected in 2008.

As a participant in Endeavor’s 2009 Mentor Capital program pilot, Three Melons founder Mariano Suarez Battan attended workshops and received specialized coaching, key introductions, and assistance pitching the business to potential investors and evaluating terms—ultimately leading to the firm’s acquisition by Playdom.
